Organist and choral and vocal composer Johann Christoph Bach (1642-1703) was eldest son of Heinrich and first cousin of Ambrosius. He was one of five family members with the same name (although one had the additional middle name of Friedrich). Another distinction is that he was grandfather of Sebastian's first wife, Maria Barbara.
