Englishman Eric Fenby (1906-1997), although a quality composer in his own right, gained most of his fame by acting as amanuensis for Frederick Delius during the final five or six years of Delius' life. He wrote a book about the experience and co-wrote with Ken Russell the teleplay for a BBC documentary on the same subject.
