Austrian (also German, Hungarian, and Slovak) composer and pianist Johann (Jan) Nepomuk Hummel (1778-1837) was a pupil of Mozart and succeeded Haydn as Konzertmeister for the Esterházy family. His output includes a number of piano concertos and other works.
