Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Jakob Ludwig Felix

Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (1809-1847) was grandson of Jewish philosopher Moses Mendelssohn. Born in Hamburg, brought up in Berlin, he was a piano prodigy in his youth.
