Salieri, Antonio

  ( 7 )
Italian Classical period composer Antonio Salieri (1750-1825) seems ever doomed to be overshadowed by the genius of Mozart. However, he was a gifted composer in his own right, writing some 45 operas as well as many other pieces of vocal and instrumental music.
